Bottoms Up: Cranberry Mojito

I like to use pure cranberry juice.  It’s the least processed and contains the most juice and least sugar.  Pure cranberry juice can be quite bitter so you may need additional sugar or soda water.  If you are using cranberry juice cocktail or something that contains sugar (just read the label to find out) then you may need to omit the agave nectar all together.

Cranberry Mojito

Serving Size: 1

Cranberry Mojito

5 mint leaves

2 tablespoons agave nectar

2 ounces lime juice

2 ounces spiced rum

2 fluid ounces cranberry juice

2 fluid ounces soda water

Place the mint leaves, lime juice, and ice into a cocktail shaker.  Shake to muddle the mint leaves.

Pour in the agave nectar, rum, and cranberry juice. Cover, and shake until the outside of the shaker has frosted.

Strain into a chilled glass and top with soda water.

Serve.
